A bit about your couple story
"We have been together for 8 years. We actually got married on our 8 year anniversary. Devon and I met through his older sister Kelsey. Kelsey and I are in a book club together and Devon tagged along to one of our events. Devon was new in New York and we started hanging out because we were into similar music and I took him to a couple of concerts around the city. He first asked me out on Bastille Day at Bar Tabac in Brooklyn, which is one of my favourite New York events. Seven years later he proposed in the same spot where he first asked me on a date."
Did you have any particular inspiration or theme for your day?
"Devon grew up in Vail and we have spent a lot of time there over the years. It is a very special location to both of us and one of the most beautiful places in the world. We wanted our wedding to fit into the natural beauty of the location. We wanted our guests to feel that they were walking into a field of Colorado wildflowers. Devon's mom Kathy is a beautiful artist and designed all of the paintings for our paper goods including our gorgeous invitations. We decided to make the table numbers different native trees of Colorado staying with the theme. Devon added a tree fact to each table as well."

Why you chose Freya Rose shoes?
"My dress has this really cool textured fabric and I wanted a shoe that really fit in with that look. The heels on Freya Rose shoes are gorgeous and I knew immediately that they were perfect for my wedding. I also love how unique Freya Rose shoes are. They are not your standard heels and I love that."
Fun details about your unique day?
"I shared one above about Devon's mom Kathy Ferguson designing all of our paper goods. I think that made our wedding feel so special and unique to have her art featured throughout our wedding. Wedding's can feel kind of cookie cutter because there are just so many of them so to have something uniquely us was amazing. Another detail that I loved about our day was the music. I walked down the aisle to a custom arrangement of Marmalade Fires by Mum. Our first song was Clear a Space by Lake Street Dive. Devon and my first date was to a Lake Street Dive concert."
Any advice for future brides
"Ok, this is very specific, but someone gave me this advice and I am so grateful they did. Give your phone to a friend on the day of the wedding for them to take some photos so that you have them on your own phone the next morning. My friend Danny captured so many amazing moments and I was so grateful to have those the next morning. Our photographer's photos are absolutely gorgeous, but I knew I wouldn't get to see them for a couple of months so I was so glad that I had some candid's on my phone."
Do you have plans to re-wear your Freya Rose heels? And if so, how do you envision styling them?
"Absolutely! I love my shoes and will definitely be using them again. I wore a white Halston jumpsuit for my welcome party the night before the wedding and I know my Freya Rose heels would look perfect with it. I can't wait to wear that outfit somewhere fun. Or maybe I'll throw them on to go out to dinner one night with jeans and just look fabulous."
