"We met in a bar in Kings Cross after work in April 2018. I moved in with him after only a year and then we had a Covid engagement. He kept 'popping out' in the middle of the 'working from home' guidance but the shops were open so little did I know that he was going to Queensmiths in Hatton Garden to buy my engagement ring. I wondered what on earth he kept 'popping out' for but had no idea! He proposed to me by Broadway Tower in the Cotswolds on top of a windy hill whilst our coffee was being attacked by wasps. All very romantic haha."

 Loved up couple Gaby and Jim got married on the 19th March 2022 at Lains Barn in Oxfordshire and the celebrations continued at the beautiful Barton House.

“We wanted to go back somewhere close to where we got engaged but I got my directions all wrong. It's not too far anyway!” Gaby and Jim were blessed with the most idyllic wedding day, in the mid March heatwave, perfect for their reception drinks outside with lawn games- what a lovely wedding celebration!

Gaby looked exquisite in her subtly floral designer dress by Alexandra Grecco which was complimented by her neutral colour theme and only white flowers.

Gaby searched high and low for platform heels which weren't too "clumpy"- she found the perfect pair of ivory wedding shoes in our ‘Gigi Pearl Heels’. “I have never worn stilettos and I find block heels much more comfortable. I wanted to stay in them all night as I am quite short so these looked comfy and also I loved the mother of pearl heel.” 

Gaby’s Advice for future brides: “Make sure you take a moment to yourself and your new husband. I know everyone says it but everything goes by in a flash. Also do the couples photos straight after the ceremony. Its easier to pull yourself away to do them before you get into chatting to everyone. Also your make up is fresh and you are not yet drunk!” 

Gaby loves the idea of wearing her ‘Gigi Pearl Heels’ again! “I wanted to wear them to my friend's wedding but then she said there were some cobbles so I didnt want to ruin them. Any weddings I will wear them too as they are not too bridey and also out for dinners. I want to get lots of wear out of them.”
