Couple's Story
My husband's name is Mike, we met at university 10 years ago through a mutual friend and the rest is history! He proposed in 2019 in Mexico with a ring he designed including his great grandmother's diamonds on a beach under the stars (and a tropical storm!) it was magical. We were meant to tie the knot in 2020, but alas - covid! Luckily our second date - 31.10.2021 (Halloween wedding!!) was unaffected, we had to postpone the honeymoon to Bali until next year but that’s nothing compared to what others have been through obviously. It did however make the day feel even more special having everyone we loved under the same roof for the first time in a long time.
Location
The wedding was at Cripps barn, Cirencester in the Cotswolds which was my dream venue before I even knew I would be getting married. It’s perfect there. The dress I chose was Grace Loves Lace, more of a chill and non traditional vibe, with a gothic twist to hit the Halloween theme.
Why did you choose Freya Rose?
I chose Freya because I fell in love with the Pearl heels when I spotted them on Instagram and knew I had to have them! They matched my pearly dress perfectly and learning that the pearls were linked to Bali felt like fate, also the reviews had all mentioned comfort which was key. I just wanted to feel like a queen on the wedding day and these little bits of luxury made that happen.
Extra Details about your wedding day
As the wedding was on Halloween we had to bring a slight element of that into our day, we asked guests to carve a pumpkins and bring that along for a bit of fun! Teamed with a black cake and candles it was the perfect nod we wanted.
