Freya Rose Bride - Frankie - 2015

Nick and Frankie chose to be a little unconventional and eloped to Tofino for their wedding day as they wanted it to be just the two of them. With abundant parkland, Vancouver Island is a destination for hiking, biking, and camping - and of course it is a stunning destination for a wedding venue! Their venue was at the Wickaninnish Inn in Tofino, Canada and the hotel’s Chef Concierge and their photographer, Marnie Recker were their two witnesses! "Making the decision to do something so low key without our families and friends with us was a tough decision on so many levels, but in the end we (stubbornly!) decided that it was what we wanted for our wedding day. Our mothers were upset but they are now over it! The day was perfect and I would highly recommend eloping to anyone who isn’t fussed about a big day."

The wedding rings were custom made by Ana De Costa Fine Jewellery.

Frankie wore a Rime Arodaky’s Timothy and Sutton bridal skirt and top on her big day, which she purchased from The Mews of Notting Hill.

Her beautiful wedding shoes were, of course, Freya Rose style 'Rita' - a soft almond toe shaped court shoe, made with vintage French Chantilly lace and Duchess Silk Satin. These shoes are designed with a special memory foam lining to ensure comfort, which was of particular importance to Frankie as she did a lot of walking on her wedding day!

"My shoes were absolutely amazing – so comfortable and totally able to cope with the various terrains of the day – a forest floor and sandy beach! They cleaned up well afterwards too and amazingly look almost new after what was basically a woodland hike!"

The Groom wore a suit by Reiss and a Liberty tie.

What a stunning wedding! Congratulations Nick & Frankie! Photography by Marnie Recker.
